Pink and Orange Bridal Shower

The front door needed something festive, so I made this little  wreath to set the mood for the shower.
The large pink basket was filled with individually wrapped bottles of nail polish in shades of pink, orange, and yellow for the guests to take home.
As people came in they took a note card and wrote one of their favorite, go-to recipes on the front with some advice for the bride on the back. Then we stuck all the note cards into a little recipe book.

Several of my friends offered to help with the food and we had really delicious muffins and a huge fruit salad.
A few pics of the flowers and table decor...

I found this frame at a thrift store for pretty cheap and just spray painted it pink to match the rest of the decorations.
I haven't taken the table runner and flower garland off my table yet because it's adding a nice bit of sunshine to the house when it's gray and wet everyday outside!
I found the fabric for the table runner in the remnants section at the fabric store.
The pink baskets for the favors, napkins and utensils came from Costplus World Market.
I didn't get a picture, but I also had cute small rectangular plates and polka dot napkins that also came from Costplus. Sometimes I forget about them, and then when I do go back I'm always pleasantly surprised by how many cute things I find!

Fruit Kabobs

I volunteered to bring fruit in for Ethan's Valentine's party at preschool this Monday and found this cute idea! So easy, and the popsicle sticks seem less likely to become weapons than kabob sticks ;)
