Ever heard of her? I hadn't until this morning when I stumbled upon her music while checking out a blog. Maybe she's been around for ages and I'm just in the dark (that wouldn't surprise me one bit!) Check her out on pandora, she's the perfect background music for working on my current project...

why there are suddenly links to recipes appearing on our blog, I had Nate add a feature to my recipe book that automatically posts new recipes to our blog. It just so happens that I've tried a few new recipes this week so there have been new posts. If anyone is interested in trying new dishes that are meat-free and mostly healthy then you've come to the right place because that's what these recipes will be (except for new dessert recipes, which help offset the healthiness of the veggie recipes!)

When you go to a pumpkin patch in the Northwest you take what you get as far as the weather's concerned. We knew we wanted to go today, but we had to be super flexible when it came to the timing due to torrents of rain and patches of sunshine that came intermixed. When we finally went, after one of the aforementioned flash floods, the patch was a muddy swamp! Nate made sure we laid towels down in the car before we left and fought back all of his tendencies to constantly clean all of us off while we traipsed through the patch looking for the perfect pumpkins. When he finally realized that getting filthy was inevitable he let Ethan climb into the wheelbarrow and sit amongst the mud splattered pumpkins. Ethan loved it!

Ethan and I went to the donut shop this morning to spend some time together (just the two of us). He and I both love sweets, so it was an easy choice. He didn't remember what donuts were until we got there, but once he did he couldn't have been more thrilled. It was a pretty cheap way to spend some quality time together doing something we both enjoy. We're pretty much sugar-buddies now.
