Family Photos 09

Here are a few of the family pictures we had taken a week or two ago. It was a lot of fun trying to get two little boys to pay attention to a camera :)

Someday...

Someday I will live in California and have a pool in my backyard and throw a party like this...

(but for now, I'm off to fold 4 loads of laundry :) and the nice part is that I wouldn't trade the sweet boys who created all that laundry for my pool in Cali!)

E-doh

Ethan loves play-doh. He discovered that a lemon juicer makes a better tool on doh rather than fruit. He is a very creative little fellow.

Eternity is a long time... take a friend.

Nate and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary yesterday. I can't believe how quickly time has gone by! I often reflect on how lucky I am that I married such a great guy, I didn't even realize then what a good decision I was making! I feel so blessed to be married to my best friend.
Nate was feeling sentimental this week and wanted to remember some of our favorite things from each year of marriage starting with our first year on Monday and talking about our 5th year on Friday, I thought it was very sweet. So we celebrated by taking a dinner cruise around Seattle. We took Jack with us and he did his very best to pretend he wasn't there so that Mom and Dad could have a nice romantic date! He was awake and very happy for the first 30 minutes of the trip, and then fell asleep when dinner was served and didn't wake up until we got off the boat. What a nice anniversary gift :)
Here are some pics from the night...

Ethan turned 2!

Ethan's birthday was on the 25th of July, but we postponed the celebrations a week so that we could bless Jack the same weekend. To say that Ethan likes cars would be an understatement these days! So we did a car-themed party in honor of his current obsession and he loved it! Here are some pictures of the party and some friends and family who came. We saved Ethan's present until the end, a motorized motorcycle. He was pretty excited about it :)

Catching up

I finally got around to downloading pictures off my camera... enjoy!
I stayed at my parents for a few days while Nate was at scout camp and my Mom and I sewed this apron. Isn't it cute?!

Notice the cute ties, not my bum :)

Mowing the lawn with Grandma.

Having fun with Dad's power tools.

This is almost as good as a go-kart for a little boy!

Getting instructions from Dad.

A day at the zoo with his cousin, Boedy.

Jack sleeping next to Lauren while Dad ran his 5k.

The race was a little earlier than Nate was used to, he couldn't quite get his eyes open :)

In the homestretch.
